Bishop Azariah Girls High School a reverberating name in Andhra Pradesh in the field of education.This high school produced popular leaders,teachers,advocates and novelists in Andhra Pradesh.But after high school studies the destiny of girls for college education becomes very difficult in those days.So,there is a dear necessity to start a college for girls for their higher education.It is in this context the then Bishop of Krishna Godavari Diocese the Rt.Rev.T.B.D.Prakasa Rao Thandri garu became an instrument to initiate to upgrade Bishop Azariah Girls High School to Junior College for Girls in the year 1994.It is very much appreciated this college is confined not simply to promote academic education.It is very particular to promote vocational education.The vision behind this college is to promote the dignity and the self respect of the women.The motto of the college is to encourage women employment and empowerment.The leadership of the founder correspondent Mr.Devadanam garu and Principal Ms. Karuna garu brought a glorious beginning to this institution.So,within no time,the virtue and values of this college spread all over Andhra Pradesh.
Fortunately,Rev.Krupaveni Prakasa Rao Thalli garu in the year 1996 became the correspondent to the junior college.The zeal and vision of Thalli garu to uphold the dignity of a woman shapes a dynamic and distinguished role in the filled of education.Smt.A.Dorka Vijayamani garu,correspondent,Ms.Ratnamamba garu,principal of this institution shouldered the responsibility to elevate this institution to new heights.
Then,in the year 2002 the legendary and dynamic Bishop the Rt.Rev.Dr.Govada Dyvasirvadam Thandri garu as an academician elevated this junior college as Bishop Azariah Degree College for Girls.Smt.Ramani Dyvasirvadam Thalli garu,appointed as a correspondent to this college in the year 2002.This is the Golden Era of this college.In this period this institution elevated to Post Graduate level.As an educationalist and disciplined personality,Smt.Ramani Dyvasirvadam Thalli garu shaped this institution as a place to produce scholars not only to confine academics.But also to react the social issues.
